By Jeff Nelson
Model B Grand Piano
6' 10 1/2"
This beautiful Steinway Crown Jewel Mahogany art case piano reflects a ?dancing? leaves marquetry motif around its perimeter. Playful butterflies and dragonflies made of mother-ofpearl, abalone and malachite inlays float along the pianos surface. The ?leaf? marquetry extends to the front of the case cornice and both sides of the fallboard, the legs, and the bench. The music desk centerpiece displays a field of highly figured quilted maple with leaf and butterfly around its perimeter. The overall effect is a sensibility of nature depicted with masterful elegance.
